Beware of Aggressive Kurdish Propaganda in Armenia

Our Dear followers, please pay attention to the following post as we wish you to spread awareness about a specific situation that is going on in Armenia.
It has come to our attention that Cira TV and their anchor Lianna Mhoyan are visiting Yezidi families in Armenian villages in a program called “Denge Xeribiye”.
At first glance, the program seems pretty innocent, and the idea seems to be straightforward to display how the Yezidi people in Armenia live. However, examining the content of the program and carefully analysing the questions Lianna Mhoyan; it becomes clear that she is pushing a narrative throughout the entire program: that the Yazidis are Kurds, that they speak Kurdish and that Yezidi is a religion and not an ethnic group/nation.
The program has been going on for several years, and the narrative does not seem to change. What is interesting is how she specifically visits families who live in villages, and she only interviews elderly people. She’s taking advantage of the hospitality of the Yazidi people. She usually begins her interviews by claiming that she is visiting Yazidi people and that she wants them to tell about their story and how they live in the village and so on. At first sight, it seems pretty straightforward and innocent. However, throughout the interview she starts to make own interpretations and makes a lot of inputs about Kurdish people, Kurdish identity, Kurdish language, Kurdish culture and so on. In contrast to journalistic etiquette, she’s not interviewing people, but she’s leading people, and she’s adding her own narrative.
Rather than being a programme, which makes interviews, it is obvious that it is a propaganda program. The propaganda being to create the Kurdish narrative, and to make the Kurdish identity stronger by taking the history and culture of the Yazidi people. Why do you need to steal the identity of the Yazdi in order to fulfil your dream of the Kurdish identity? Is it perhaps because there is no Kurdish identity as it is a synthetically created one?
Dear followers,Although the Yezidi people are outnumbered by perhaps 20 or 40 million kurds, we should not feel discouraged. As we are not the ones who are trying to destroy the history of other people. Instead, we are trying to keep what has always been ours; our identify. Although they outnumber us, we should remember that we are not the destructive force in the region.
We have been subject to genocide several times throughout history and the latest genocide being in 2014. Even the genocide is something they are trying to steal. I wish that the Yazidis never experienced any genocide. However, even the genocide(s) that have been commited against the Yazidis is something that people like Lianna Mhoyan are trying to steal. Perhaps never has there been a similar situation in which people are being robbed of their experience of genocide. Obviously, the kurds don’t have their own identity so they are even trying to steal the sorrow of the Yazidi people. How come that the suffering from 2014 is yours too? Is the 1915 genocide against the Armenians, Assyrians, Chaledeeans, Greeks and Yazidis also yours? Or are we going too deep into your dark past now? Why don’t you dare to talk about what your ancestors did in the Ottoman Empire?
Our appeal to you
Please, dear Yezids, when Lianna and other advocates of Kurdish propaganda are knocking on your doors; don’t let them in. Because, these people aren’t visiting you with good intentions. For once, don’t be hospitable. For once be rude as they are being rude to your identity.
Let’s not forget our ancestors and how they suffered. Let’s not forget how our ancestors had to fight for our survival. The fact that you are alive now is because of our ancestors, our ancestors who fought against the kurds, who tried to kill us and annihilate us. Don’t forget how our neighbours betrayed us, knocked on the door, killed our family members, took the women, killed the men, kidnapped the children and took our property. Who are they trying to fool today?
If you don’t respect and remember your ancestors and their suffering, if you don’t fight for your identity and your right to exist, then similar stories will be repeated as the ones in 1915 and 2014. Because, again your neighbour and your so called ”people of the same nation” will knock on your doors like they did in 1915 and destruct your fate, again.
Let us not be fooled by the smiling face of Lianna Mhoyan. The mere presence of her in your houses and her ”Kurdish” narrative is a mockery of our ancestor’s grief.
Down below we have provided you with a video of a zoom-meeting in which it is obvious that Lianna Mhoyan and her colleagues are pursuing an aggressive and intolerant policy against the Yazidi people: ”You are kurds. If you dare to questions us then it is either our (Kurdish) way or the Highway.” How is that different from 1915 and 2014 again?
Please watch the video and draw your own conclusions:
