New Report Reveals: 5,000 Killed and 6,371 Abducted since the Ezidi Genocide
The Office of the Rescued Ezidi Prisoners has released the devastating statistics regarding the atrocities committed by ISIS against the Ezidi people on August 3, 2014. According to their report, over 5,000 Ezidis were killed, and 6,371 were abducted, with many still unaccounted for. These numbers only reflect those who have been identified; the fate of many more Ezidis remains unclear.
The report details that 2,745 children became orphans due to the genocide. So far, 96 mass graves have been discovered, shedding light on the brutal killings.
Of the 6,317 Ezidis abducted by ISIS, 3,558 have been rescued, including 1,211 women, 1,047 girls, and 961 boys. Additionally, 274 people have been identified among the dead, and their remains returned to their families. However, 2,558 Ezidis, including 1,225 women and 1,333 men, are still missing, with their whereabouts unknown.
