Armenia will hold its 2026 voluntary certification examination for teachers of the Ezidi language on 14 November at 10:00. The paper-based assessment forms part of a national process that evaluates teachers’ subject knowledge and can affect their professional recognition and pay.
Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports has published the 2026 voluntary certification schedule for teachers working in general education institutions.
Examinations across all subjects will take place between 7 and 22 November. The Ezidi-language examination will be held on Saturday, 14 November, at 10:00.
Unlike most subjects, the examination in the Ezidi language, Êzdîkî, will be conducted on paper. The Persian- and Assyrian-language examinations will be held in the same format and at the same time. The English-language examination is also scheduled for that morning.
The inclusion of Êzdîkî gives teachers of the language a formal route to certification within Armenia’s education system. It is particularly important for the preservation of Ezidi identity, as access to qualified teachers is necessary for passing the mother tongue on to younger generations.
Under Armenia’s voluntary certification system, teachers’ subject knowledge is assessed through an examination. Teachers who achieve the required results may qualify for changes to their salary rate or additional payments.
The ministry’s announcement specifies the date, time and format of the examination but does not list the examination centres. Participants should follow the instructions and individual information provided through the official certification system.
