The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Bern has extended its congratulations to Ezidis in Switzerland on the occasion of the Ezidi New Year.
In a public message, the embassy offered its warmest wishes to Ezidis and their families, praying that the occasion brings health, happiness, joy, hope, goodness, tranquility, and peace.
The embassy also expressed pride in the contributions of Ezidis to Iraqi society, describing their role as part of the country’s wider social fabric. It wished Ezidis continued stability and prosperity wherever they may be.
The Ezidi New Year, known as [Çarşema Serê Salê], is one of the most important sacred occasions in [Sharfadin], the Ezidi religion. It is traditionally celebrated in April and carries deep spiritual meaning connected to renewal, life, blessing, and the beginning of a new year.
