Ezidi mixed martial arts fighter David Mgoyan will continue his professional career with Georgian promotion RKENA after building an undefeated 7–0 record and competing in several American MMA organisations.
Undefeated Ezidi mixed martial arts fighter David Mgoyan has signed a contract with Georgian MMA promotion RKENA, marking the next stage of his professional career. Mgoyan, who competes under the Armenian flag, currently holds a professional record of seven victories and no defeats. Most of his wins have come by stoppage. His most recent fight took place under Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Prospects MMA banner, where he defeated Albert Morales by unanimous decision.
Born in Bataysk in Russia’s Rostov region, Mgoyan began his sporting career in freestyle wrestling before developing his skills in grappling and striking. He went on to win gold medals at Russian and world-level amateur MMA championships before moving into professional competition.
Since 2024, Mgoyan has trained in the United States with American Top Team, one of the country’s best-known mixed martial arts gyms. He has trained alongside UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan and has also worked as his sparring partner and cornerman.
Before signing with RKENA, Mgoyan competed in several American promotions, including Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA), Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) and Tuff-N-Uff.
His performances have also attracted attention from prominent MMA figures. Manager Ali Abdelaziz, who has represented numerous leading fighters including former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, has publicly highlighted Mgoyan’s potential.
The move to RKENA gives the undefeated Ezidi fighter another platform on which to continue building his professional record. Details of his first opponent and fight date under the Georgian promotion have not yet been announced.
