Ezidi boxer Ruslan Selimyan has won the vacant IBF Youth welterweight title, extending his unbeaten professional record to 15 victories in 15 fights.
The 23-year-old faced Uganda’s Ivan Kambagire, who entered the bout with a record of 9 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw, during the IBA 20 boxing event in Naberezhnye Chelny.


The fight went the full ten rounds, with Selimyan taking control from the early stages and maintaining the advantage throughout the contest. At the end of the bout, all three judges awarded him the victory.
The result brings Selimyan’s uprofessional record to 15–0 and gives him one of the most significant titles of his career so far.


Selimyan is originally from Armenia, is of Ezidi heritage and represents Pyatigorsk in Russia.
