ISIS did not create unity. ISIS committed genocide against Ezidis!
In this interview conducted by Rûdaw, the kurdish speaker explicitly argues that ISIS deserves thanks because the genocide allegedly created political unity among the kurdish political groups. This is a morally corrupt argument. It reduces the genocide committed against Ezidis to a political benefit for the kurds.
At the same time, Sinjar — a sovereign part of Iraq and the historic homeland of Ezidis — is treated as a territory that can be claimed by kurds. Ezidis aren’t kurds, and their suffering cannot be claimed for the benefit of the kurds.
The Ezidi Genocide of 2014 was not an opportunity for anyone’s political project. Ezidis are not a tool for territorial claims, especially not territorial claims made by the kurds.
According to this kurdish logic, Ezidis were some kind of animals that they sacrificed for their benefit. But the question is:
Who do you think you are?
Do you think Ezidis are some kind of sacrificial animals?
Sinjar is still drenched in the blood of Ezidis, and you are trying to benefit from it.
If anything, this shows the extent of kurdish involvement in and execution of the 2014 genocide.
Once again, you have proven how corrupt and shameless the kurdish political agenda is.
