Senior Iraqi parliamentary leaders marked the Ezidi New Year with official messages of congratulations, while also stressing justice for victims, the protection of Ezidi rights, support for return and reconstruction, and the importance of peaceful coexistence in Iraq.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan congratulated the Ezidi people of Armenia on the occasion of the Ezidi New Year, reaffirming support for the protection of Ezidi language, culture, and identity. He also attended the celebrations in Aknalich, where Ezidi and Armenian dance groups performed at the temple.
Museum Nienoord in Leek will host its first Liberation Lunch on May 5, featuring Ezidi refugee Malik Khero Jirdo as guest speaker. During the event, he will share his joy about freedom in the Netherlands, while visitors can also meet him in connection with his book Between Bullets and Dreams.
