TBILISI, Georgia — The International Ezidi Theological Academy has completed the first academic year for its third student cohort, continuing its mission to educate future scholars of the Ezidi people and Sharfadin.
This year, 13 students from Georgia, France, Germany and Iraq took part in the programme. During their first year of study, they completed introductory courses in comparative religious studies, the foundations of philosophy, the history of the Middle East and an introduction to the theology of Sharfadin. The courses are taught by professors from Georgian state universities.
The academy brings together students from different countries with the aim of strengthening academic research and higher education focused on the Ezidi people, their history, religion, language and cultural heritage. By combining theological studies with broader academic disciplines, the programme seeks to prepare future researchers, educators and specialists who can contribute to preserving and developing Ezidi scholarship.
The completion of the first academic year marks another milestone for the International Ezidi Theological Academy, which continues to expand its educational work and strengthen cooperation among Ezidi students from across Europe and the Middle East.
