The Ezidi dance ensemble [Êzdîxan] took part in the international festival-competition “Orange Kobuleti” in Georgia and received an award for its participation.
The festival, held annually in the central square of Kobuleti, has brought together youth groups from Georgia and abroad for almost three decades. Its programme includes folk and pop music, modern and ballroom dance, theatre performances, and fashion presentations.
The name “Orange Kobuleti” reflects both the artistic character of the festival and the region’s connection to citrus harvests.
The participation of Êzdîxan is a testimony of the continued role of Ezidi cultural groups in preserving and presenting Ezidi dance, music, and identity in public cultural spaces.
