Alan Duncan: Shamima Begum Committed Crimes Against Ezidis
During an interview with TalkTv, Alan Duncan suggests that ex-British citizen, Shamima Begum, may have committed crimes against Ezidis and perhaps continues to do so.
Who is the infamous Shamima Begum?
Shamima Begum is of Bangladeshi descent and joined ISIS in 2015 alongside two of her friends. Begum was only 15 years old when she travelled from the UK to Turkey and later made her way to Syria by taxi. In Syria, Begum married an ISIS fighter and gave birth to three children who have all died. Although many (often underage) girls have travelled from Europe and joined ISIS, Begum’s case is well known due to the fact that her “disappearance” from UK gained a lot of media attention and because her citizenship was revoked in 2019. A big issue was whether Begum would become stateless if she was deprived of her British citizenship but since her parents were immigrants from Bangladesh, the UK government contended that she was/could become a citizen of Bangladesh. In the BBC podcast series “I’m Not a Monster“, Begum was interviewed by journalist Josh Baker and was asked whether she was aware of what ISIS was doing to the Ezidi people. Begum expressed no remorse and continued to argue that ISIS has had good sides too. In another interview when asked the same question by BBC correspondent Quentin Sommerville, Begum responded that Shia do the same in Iraq.
Shows No Remorse and Tells Journalist to “Get the F*ck O*t”
On January 13, 2025, Alan Duncan gave an interview to TalkTV and shared his experience from his last visit to the camp where Begum stays. Duncan shared that Shamima Begum was not as prepared as she had been in previous encounters with journalists and cameras, and that perhaps her telling him to “get the f*ck o*t” seemed to be the real Shamima Begum. Begum has previously used different strategies to gain the sympathy of Media, trying to portray the image of an “innocent” teenager who has done a mistake and regretted her choices. However, all encounters Begum has had with media shows that she is still a strong advocate of ISIS extremism and that she has no remorse in what she has and is doing.
Alan Duncan pointed to the fact that Begum has at least “been in the same house as Ezidi slaves were being abused” and that “her mate was selling Ezidi women and children“. Duncan also reminded that we have to
“…focus on saving the 2,600 Ezidi women and children who are still missing…”
and that it is
“…time that we focus on the victims and not the ISIS pigs like her.”
Reveals That an Upcoming Piece in The Sun Will Be Explosive
Alan Duncan mentioned in the interview with TalkTv that soon a piece will be published in the Sun which is going to be explosive and it will give a better insight about what is going on in the region. The insight which Duncan is referring to is most probably about how many western states (such as the UK and Canada) have know the exact travel route of the people who join ISIS and that they have also had some spies among the ISIS-fighters who have given them a lot of intel.
There is a chance that Duncan’s piece will also shed some light on the crimes that are being committed against the Ezidi people and that it will help to attract more attention and action about saving the 2,600 missing Ezidi women and children.
While it is good that at least some journalist don’t follow the mainstream journalism and only focus on the Ukraine and Palestina situations, it’s unfortunate how much personal attention Begum has received and how little attention the fate of thousands of Ezidis, especially children, has been ignored.
Hopefully, the promised peace in The Sun will make more journalists interested to report on the (still ongoing) Ezidi genocide and hopefully, Shamima Begum’s true criminal and terrorist face will be revealed.
