The Ezidi Youth Association in Australia has announced a public commemoration to mark the 12th anniversary of the Ezidi Genocide.

The event will take place on Monday, 3 August 2026, bringing together Ezidis and supporters from across Australia to remember the victims of the genocide committed by ISIS against the Ezidi people in 2014.

The event will honour those who lost their lives, those who remain missing and the survivors who continue to seek justice more than a decade after the genocide. It also aims to raise awareness of the continuing challenges Ezidis face, including the search for missing persons, accountability for perpetrators and the reconstruction of Sinjar.

Members of the public are invited to attend and stand in solidarity with the Ezidi people as they remember one of the darkest chapters in their history.
