Students and teachers from across Armenia came together in Yerevan for the event “Equal Voices: From Stories to Leadership,” organized by Teach For Armenia. The initiative focused on empowering young people to explore gender equality through education, discussion, and research.
During the event, participants presented projects highlighting influential women and institutions contributing to equality in Armenian society. Among those recognized was Irina Tumoyan, an educator of Ezidi background whose work reflects the role of minority women in shaping education and leadership.
Her inclusion is significant, as it highlights the presence and contribution of Ezidi women in Armenia, an important step toward broader recognition and inclusion of Ezidis in public and educational spaces.
